Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee patient care and nursing staff in our healthcare facility. The Charge Nurse will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes while managing daily operations within the unit. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient settings and possess knowledge in various areas including infectious disease care, emergency medicine, and pain management.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and treatments.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff members, patients, and families.
- Manage emergency situations effectively while maintaining a calm environment.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and in the state of GA.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification or within 3 months of employment.
- PALS certification within 6 months of employment is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred.
